How renting a room works
From finding a room to moving in.
Find a room
Search by city, budget, move-in date and private bath. Each room page has its own photos, description, pet policy, and every move-in cost.
Apply online
Click Apply now on the room you want. You’ll finish a secure application on TurboTenant. Some rooms list an application fee, shown on the room page.
Hear back
We review your application and get back to you about next steps and your move-in date.
Sign and move in
Sign your lease and pay what’s due at move-in through TurboTenant: first month’s rent, the deposit, and any move-in fee.
Pay monthly
After that, rent is paid once a month through TurboTenant. Never weekly.
What you’ll pay at move-in
Every room page lists the monthly rent, the security deposit, and the move-in fee when there is one, with the total due at move-in. If you move in partway through a month, your first month may be prorated.
